Position Overview

As a Bridge Engineer, you will be responsible for all phases of bridge and structural design, including new construction, rehabilitation, and inspection support. You will work with a team of experienced engineers delivering high-quality solutions for transportation structures.

Key Responsibilities

Perform structural design for bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, and related structures.
Prepare design calculations, structural analysis, and CAD drawings for steel girders, prestressed concrete girders, decks, abutments, piers, footings, walls, and other components.
Conduct structural load ratings and respond to RFIs.
Perform field assessments and inspections for existing structures and projects under construction.
Collaborate with design teams to meet project schedules, budgets, and technical standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
5+ years of experience in bridge engineering and design.
PE or SE license preferred (EITs on track for licensure are strongly encouraged to apply).
Proficiency with engineering software such as Bentley MicroStation , OpenRoads , and OpenBridge preferred.
Familiarity with design codes and manuals including AASHTO LRFD , AREMA , and state DOT bridge manuals.
Strong technical skills in superstructure and substructure design for steel and concrete bridges.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment to complete assignments on time and within budget.
