PMI Kyoto Packaging Systems is looking for a Field Service Manager to join our team in our Elk Grove Village office!

Job Summary:

Candidate will supervise Service Techs and assist Aftermarket Manager in addressing customer needs in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities: 

• Oversee and manager a team of Service Techs and escalate any concerns to Aftermarket Manager as needed; assist in scheduling, coordinating, and resolving service and travel issues.
• Train direct reports using the appropriate job description and other tools as applicable. 
• Be a leader amongst your department and provide support to your team; oversee the day-to-day of the staff.
• For any discrepancy with parts, the issue must be escalated per purchasing policy for further investigation and timely resolution to your manager.
• Develop and foster relationships with existing customers and address any needs as appropriate, visit the customers as needed. (Ability to travel when needed).
• Establish the culture of safety first; support train employees in safety and enforce company policies.
• Responsible for leading the service personnel to complete the tasks as instructed and coordinating travel needs.
• Work closely with other departments to set priorities and communicate progress and needs.
• Mentor the team for cross functional training and provide technical advice and support for departmental growth.
• Participate and support continuous improvement activities as well as on specific problem-solving opportunities to meet demand.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, certification a plus.
• Experience in automation industry with Packaging machinery, capital equipment, parts, and services preferred (2+ years)
• Experience with PLC based Industrial Controls preferred (2+ years)
• Prior supervisory and service experience preferred (2+ years)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Mechanical Assembly knowledge and skills.
• Knowledge of Controls Engineering (Rockwell Automation, Mitsubishi, etc)
• Ability to understand how an equipment “should” perform – and potential solutions to resolve abnormalities.
• Solid mathematical skills required: Ability to calculate in all units of measure and apply formulas.
• Intermediate computer skills required: Outlook, Excel, and other programs to be utilized proficiently.
