“Grower-focused, independently owned and operated Bay Area based Importer & Distributor is looking for a part-time, 1099 commission-based, Bay Area Sales Rep to complement our team."

This is a perfect position for a rep looking to add a complimentary book to their already existing sales area or someone with solid industry experience and a knack for sales who has a flexible weekday schedule. This will start as a 1099 contractor position with the possibility of transitioning to W-2 status with salary + benefits.

Floraison Selections is a grower-focused wine importer and distributor featuring small scale, independent growers from France who work with minimal intervention and farm organically and biodynamically. Established in the East Bay in 2017, we are an independently woman-owned and run company with a small but excellent portfolio. We pride ourselves on the quality of our selections — whether they be highly allocated, sought after growers, or lesser known names — as well as the quality of our customer service and the establishments with which we work.

What we are looking for: Genuine passion for fine wine and the ability and drive to make a sale and build solid customer relationships. We're looking for a self-motivated person who is not afraid to directly call on prospects and accounts and put in the time to build the right relationships. Ideally, we're looking for someone who has been in the industry for at least two years and already has established relationships and sales experience.

Qualifications
- Professional fine wine knowledge and experience (formal certification appreciated but not necessary)
- Professional experience selling fine wine
- Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and take ownership of responsibilities
- Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and personally over email, phone, and in-person
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must reside in the Bay Area
- Must be 21 and over
- Must be computer literate and have own computer (laptop or tablet) and smartphone
- Must have own vehicle
- Must be able to handle/lift 40lb cases of wine without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for representing portfolio to an agreed-upon account list within a designated territory
- Regularly conduct in person sales calls upon existing and potential customers 
- Identify and follow-up on new prospective accounts and sales opportunities
- Build and maintain buyer relationships by consistently servicing accounts
- Match products to the parameters and needs of clients through knowledge of the field and the portfolio 
- Effective and timely communication 
- Effective self-management skills, specifically time management and territory call planning
- Act as primary point person for assigned territory's customers (order placements, delivery issues, etc.) and provide excellent customer service
