Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our Teaching Faculty. This full-time, exempt position begins in August and runs through early June (190 days). Course work may include French 1 & 2, utilizing the Understanding by Design model for curriculum planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and rigorous French instruction to students.
• Utilize a 75-minute teaching period (every other day rotation) for effective lesson planning and instruction.
• Foster student growth through interactive learning and collaboration with colleagues.
• Utilize the CANVAS learning management system to track student progress and maintain communication with parents.
• Opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities are available.
• Contribute to the school’s academic community.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Commitment to supporting the mission of the school.
• Bachelor’s degree in French or Education required, master’s preferred.
• Minimum of two years of high school teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
• Ability to instruct students in higher level French courses
• Certified or eligible for Florida teacher certification within two years.
• Must pass a criminal background check, complete drug screening, reference checks and meet E-Verify requirements.
