Adecco is assisting one of the leading healthcare providers in the Bay Area in recruiting for a **Lab Assistants** in Palo Alto, CA. This is a Day shift full-time opportunity with the hours being 6am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday with rotating weekend shifts. **FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Accessions specimens according to established priority. + Compares information from test requisition form with specimen labels and resolves identification problems. + Distributes accessioned specimens to appropriate locations. + Receives all specimens into the lab from a variety of sources and routes. · Enters patient demographic information into LIS and orders appropriate examination code. **QUALIFICATIONS:** + High School Graduate or equivalent required + Knowledge of medical terminology + Knowledge of instruments, methods and materials used in a hospital laboratory + Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities + Data Entry **Pay range for this opportunity is $34-$37 based on experience** .
