Salary Range

The full salary range for this position is $77,968 to $106,917 annually. Please note, we generally don't make offers above midpoint.

Job Description



The Manager, Airport Services is responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and smooth bussing operation. While using discretion and independent judgment, this role holds oversight, guidance, and support to the Airport Services team, stepping in to provide hands-on help when needed to exceed customer expectations. In partnership with vendors, customers and operational safety teams, this role uses data to ensure McGee meets its customer KPIs and leads best-in-class operational outcomes in a thriving safety culture environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain an environment and culture where the safety of our team members and customers is of paramount importance.
  • Lead a team of supervisors, and agents, including team member coaching, mentoring, and supporting individual development.
  • Proactively monitor, assess, and report on Busing team performance as needed and drive ongoing improvement.
  • Manage costs and labor hours within established budget constraints.
  • Investigate and report delays, irregularities, safety and compliance concerns, share lessons learned, and develop solutions for future prevention.
  • Serve as primary liaison between McGee and participating Seattle-Tacoma Airport Consortium members.
  • Respond to, investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding bus service.
  • Prepare necessary improvement plans, plan and execute initiatives, and coordinate efficient monthly/quarterly team member work schedules.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are available and in working condition for team members to perform job functions effectively and that robustly maintained systems are in place to track equipment.
  • Supervise and fulfill all administrative duties inherent to this position in a timely manner to include scheduling, training, discipline and team member performance development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all regulations of federal, state and local airport authorities.
  • Conduct audits and observations to ensure compliance with company and customer policy and expectations.

Qualifications



Required:

  • Three (3) years of hands-on leadership experience, including experience leading large groups of team members in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience with proven operations skills in one of the following areas: busing or airline ground operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and successfully communicate with a diverse workgroup and other internal departments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional work ethic and demonstrated ability to work with all work groups while addressing people courageously, directly and candidly.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen and fingerprinting required by specific work assignment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working with an airline consortium.
