This job takes the lead in providing more complex application development services typically as part of a project team or in an application support role. Developers analyze, design, code, test and implement more complex systematic solutions to meet customer requirements. Developers provide general support to maintain more complex applications that meet the service levels, system availability, performance and quality levels required by their customers. May mentor less experienced team members.
Responsibilities and Duties
Takes a lead role for analyzing, designing, configuring, and modification of inbound and outbound EDI feeds, including X12 EDI such as 834, 835, and 837 transaction sets along with proprietary feeds for specific vendors
Develop and maintain Microsoft .NET-based backend systems including scheduled console applications, web applications, MSMQ based messaging-based applications
Takes a lead role in collaborating with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Concentrates on providing innovative solutions to more complex business needs.
Takes a lead role in providing required technical support, including release implementations, on-call and 24x7 supports when necessary.
Performs work in compliance with all IT standards, policies and procedures.
Actively takes a leading role and participates on project teams in various project roles, including, but not limited to, Developer, Technical Lead and Project Manager, based upon level of experience.
Effectively communicates with team members, customers, partners and management, including assisting with or conducting more complex technical walkthroughs, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions and providing accurate and concise documentation.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related field
Minimum of 5 years' experience in software development
Strong independent analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and issue resolution
Proficiency with .NET framework, C#, and SQL Server
Experience working with messaging-based technologies such as MSMQ
Knowledge in using source control solutions such as TFVC or Git
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related field
Experience with enterprise application integration middleware such as Microsoft BizTalk for message brokering of EDI data
Proficiency in design and development of SSIS packages for data integration and migration and SSRS reporting solutions for SQL Server
Understanding of X12 EDI transaction sets such as 834, 835, 837
Experience in Healthcare or Health Insurance Industry
Familiarity in designing, developing .NET based RESTful APIs, web services
Experience in developing Angular, React, or other single page web application frameworks.
Engineering experience of Gitlab / Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
