Job Specifics
Duties Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Coordinate and support the activities of a project team
Assist with defining scope statements Facilitate scrum meetings acting as scrum master Supervise, train and mentor Project Management staff as assigned Assist with PBITS or RFP requests Create and maintain work breakdown structures Determine project start and end dates and establish critical milestones within the schedule Record quality metrics and compile project reports Interact with stakeholders and coordinate the activities of the project team to ensure objectives and milestone timelines are met Set up and facilitate Project meetingsMinimum QualificationsReachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR
One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but arent limited to: Administrative Specialist 2, Business Systems Analyst 2, Information Technology Specialist 3; ORA bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in project management which must include planning and at least three other of the management process groups: origination (including governance/work intake, portfolio management, capacity/demand planning); initiating; executing; controlling; and closing. This experience must include the development of project management deliverables, such as scope statements, schedules, budgets, quality plans, risk plans, and communication plans; OR
A Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience. Current certification from the from the Project Management Institute as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) may substitute for two years of experience or a Project Management Professional (PMP) may substitute for three years of experience.

Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
