Job DescriptionLake Superior College is hiring a Full-time Unlimited Radiologic Technology faculty member that reports directly to the Dean of Allied Health Nursing. The instructor is responsible for applying their expertise to teach American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) program approved content in accordance with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology (JRCERT) to prepare students to reach their academic goals.The instructor actively participates in departmental meetings and activities, in student recruitment for their courses/program, and in support of the general development of students and the college.Responsibilities:Teach radiologic technology content primarily in a clinical setting with a large number of clinical hours during day/evening and weekend hours as the semester schedule requires.Developing curriculum, revising teaching materials, and developing student learning outcomesParticipate in college initiatives through committee work and interdepartmental collaborationComplete assessment activities at the instructor, course, department, and institutional level.Minimum QualificationsBachelor?s degreeOccupational Experience Requirement:Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered technologistRecency Requirement:One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five yearsProfessional Requirement:Certified as a Registered Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART)Preferred QualificationExperience teachingExcellent written and oral communication skillsFlexibility to teach daytime, evening, weekend, online, or off-campus sectionsSalary Range: $54,696.05 - $73,690.33 per year** The above salary range is for initial placement only.
