Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in wound management and nursing practices, with the ability to provide high-quality care to patients with various wound types. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing wound care treatments while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

Years of Experience: 2year(s)

• Charting System:Required, Epic
• Certifications:  BLS, WCC*, WOCN*
• Teaching Hospital Experience:Preferred
• Community Hospital Experience:Preferred
• LTAC Experience:Preferred
• Trauma Level I Experience:Preferred
• Trauma Level II Experience:Preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds and overall health status.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and evidence-based practices.
• Administer medications and perform venipuncture as necessary for treatment.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques and home care practices.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in ambulatory surgery centers and home care settings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including ICD-9 coding for documentation purposes.
• Provide specialized care for patients requiring DME (Durable Medical Equipment) support.
• Offer compassionate care to patients with specific needs such as dementia or toddler care.

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 18:00)
