As an Information Technology Associate you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform problem and incident management related to client technologies
  • Conduct research and analysis of new client technologies
  • Install or repair hardware or peripheral equipment
  • Analyze, develop, and document business and technical requirements for technology solutions and enablers; tracks, monitors, and audits IT assets to maintain accountability using standard asset management tools and techniques in compliance with SAM and other applicable policies and regulations
  • Assist asset management with updating equipment inventory database for all desktop/laptop computers, monitors, printers, and peripheral equipment
  • Ensure that the equipment is in working order and has all the required software updates
  • Ready surveyed items for e-waste pick up which include validating lifecycle information, component removal as necessary, documentation to meet Department of General Services (DGS) requirements, and working with office Administrative Services staff to secure approved e-waste contractors

  • Customer Service and Technical Support Skills
  • Knowledge of Software Installation (deployment) and Hardware maintenance
  • Ability to Troubleshoot and Train End Users
  • Knowledge and Experience using IT Service Management for managing Requests and Incidents
  • Ability to work independently to perform duties following department's policies and procedures
